To access certain online trainings, register for courses and seminars, or apply for courses that require special admission, you need to create a personal user account in Kompetenstorget. With a user account, you can update your details and track your training results yourself. Kompetenstorget manages the technical solution (the system) and acts as a data processor for the departments and companies that use Kompetenstorget for course administration. This means we are responsible for ensuring that your personal data is processed in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your personal data will also be processed if you contact us for help or support.
The personal data processed are the details you provide, such as your name, email address, professional role, the sector you work in, and information about your participation in trainings. When applying for certain courses, information about dietary requirements or accessibility needs may also be stored, along with additional details to confirm eligibility or for invoicing of fee-based courses. By providing dietary or accessibility requests, you consent to these details being shared with course organizers and data processors. If you prefer not to enter this information in the platform, you can instead email the course organizer (listed in the course description) and specify which course it concerns.
The system will save your usage behavior, such as which materials in Lärtorget you have viewed, in order to suggest additional content that may be relevant to you based on your professional role.
Processing of your personal data in Kompetenstorget is necessary for Kompetenstorget to fulfill the agreement made with you when you register for courses and trainings. Registering user accounts also makes it possible for Kompetenstorget to follow up and evaluate trainings. This processing is carried out under the legal basis of public interest.
Your personal data is stored as long as you have an active user account. If you have not logged in to your account within the past two (2) years, the account may be deleted.
In addition to Kompetenstorget’s training administrators, a data processor (the technical platform provider) also processes personal data, but only under the instructions of Region Stockholm. The data processed in the system becomes public records that may be disclosed under the principle of public access, unless covered by confidentiality. More information about the principle of public access can be found on the Swedish government’s website.
When logging in from another institution, your personal identity number will be transferred. This number is transferred in an attribute called norEduPersonNIN. Before login to Kompetenstorget, the personal identity number is converted into an HSA-ID through a service provided by Region Stockholm. The personal identity number is not used for any other purpose, is not stored, and is not shared with third parties.
Region Stockholm handles a wide range of information about you. We therefore have a major responsibility to ensure that your personal data is managed correctly to guarantee safe operations while protecting your privacy. You can read more here: Om offentlighetsprincipen (öppnas i nytt fönster)..
This service follows the international framework GÉANT Data Protection Code of Conduct for the transfer of personal data from identity providers to the service. The framework is intended for services in Sweden, the EU, and the EEA used in research and higher education.
